| | | Rock Band | | Last week, the bass pedal for the drum set on our Guitar Hero broke. When we took it back to Best Buy, they were out of Guitar Hero. They gave us the choice of letting them order another game or they would knock $20 off the price and give us Rock Band instead. It came with a Beatles game.
We chose the Rock Star. The drums and guitar are both very different from Guitar Hero, but the kids actually like them better. For instance, on Guitar Hero, the drums had three pads plus two cymbals. The Rock Band just has four pads, plus the bass pedal.
We also got the kids the game that is Classic Rock, and includes things from Pat Benetar, Credence Clearwater Revival and Aerosmith!We had to return the game that had originally come with the Guitar Hero, and that was a shame because we liked some of the songs. We still have the Guitar Hero-Country Music that James bought on Labor Day when all the kids were here playing.
So here's my question. Do you own or have you played either Guitar Hero or Rock Band? If you've played both, which one do you prefer...or do you think they're about the same? Which games do you have? Country, Classic Rock, Guitar Hero 5, Disney? | |

| Look who's in the band... | | While I was having lunch with my family, we've watched a noon time variety show in TV. The show features a band competition that showcases all-time bands, especially the brass bands which we call them locally as Drum and Bugle Corps. It nice to watch different old brass bands play new songs like Single Ladies, Bleeding Love, Womanizer, etc. with the band members also dance. Wheew, I remember my school days, me elementary days. I joined the school's DBC when I was in grade 3 and until I graduated. I played the bugle in 3rd and 4th grade. And then I switched to cymbals in 5th upto the 6th grade. How about you, do you remember playing with the band in you school days? Please share your memories with us... | |
